After working all week on website deigns and graphic designs, we’ve decided to make Friday afternoons….’Learn something new day’.  In web design it is really easy to get stuck in a rut and not learn new techniques, you end up designing every site using the same techniques and before you know it your favorite techniques and tricks are all way out of date.

So Fridays are now ‘down tools and learn something’ – its a nice way to end the week and its always rewarding to learn something new, this way it helps us to really stay on top of our game.  In the web design industry it moves so fast, it is vital that we are always out there researching the latest design techniques, this really helps us design fast sites that really stand the test of time.

Also form a Google point of view – they are constantly changing their search algorithms, so we really need to stay on top of the changes in order to keep our sites at the top of the tree.

So…what is this weeks learn something……iphone apps…..we are now registered Apple developers, so we’re keen to strut our stuff writing iphone applications.  Our clients have been asking if we can do it > and it looks like fun.  So watch this space, pretty soon we’ll have some new apps up on the itunes store, we’ve got some great ideas for some really fun apps.
